Cherokee Trail of Tears Journey to Forgiveness

For the last two years, the Cherokee Nation has been planning a Journey to Forgiveness for the Trail of Tears. This historic event will take place May 18th thru May 26th 2012. White Bison has been asked to participate by taking the Sacred Hoop of 100 feathers to this event, including a two day healing gathering on intergenerational trauma at Tahlequah, Oklahoma. There will be four stops at sacred sites along the northern route and finally a two day closing ceremony at Cherokee, North Carolina. We will provide two facilitators and a videographer, who will create a documentary of the journey.

When asked to participate, we made the commitment we would do our own fundraising, knowing we could depend on our Wellbriety friends to help us again, as they have in the past. Any donation, big or small is appreciated. But there are gifts for those who donate $25, $50 or $100. By donating $25, you will receive a Trail of Tears t-shirt. By donating $50, you will receive the t-shirt and the Wellbriety Comes of Age book. And the $100 donation, will receive the t-shirt, book and DVD set, Recovery is a Process Not an Event.
